Day one — the white cliffs

Morning. Ease in. Swim before breakfast, then take the five-minute hop to Melasti Beach while the cliffs still have their soft light. Afternoon. Lunch and day beds at Palmilla on the sand, or go big at Savaya if there is an event on. Evening. Dinner at home. This is the night for a private chef: grilled seafood by the pool, zero traffic.

Day two — temple and the west coast

Morning. Cross the peninsula to Padang Padang before the crowds, then coffee above Bingin and watch the surfers queue the left. Afternoon. Long lunch at a west-coast clifftop club like Ulu Cliffhouse. Evening. The main event: sunset kecak fire dance at Uluwatu Temple, booked ahead, then fresh-grilled fish in Jimbaran on the way home.

Day three — sand and slow luxury

Morning. A floating breakfast in your own pool, because you are on the Bukit and it would be rude not to. Afternoon. Ride the inclinator down to Sundays Beach Club: snorkel, kayak, stay for the bonfire. Evening. Last sunset from the villa deck, pool glowing, bags refusing to pack themselves.
